Montreal, June 23, 2020 – MADE WITH LOVE, the highly extravagant Canada-wide mixology competition, resumes event production activities and kicks off a new tour for the 2020-2021 edition. While the current situation does not allow for programming a tour in its usual form, the 11th edition has been adapted to continue producing events and offer the same level of entertainment to cocktail lovers.
This year, some 30 bartenders per city will compete under the theme of fairy tales, enchanting and luring the judges into getting their creation qualified for the regional finals. A perfect opportunity for young competitors to act the part while making a name for themselves and putting on an amazing show. This new season promises to captivate many!
Thanks to the endless support of its partners, MADE WITH LOVE will hold its qualifiers behind closed doors in order to comply with public health guidelines on physical distancing. The happening will be broadcast live on MADE WITH LOVE Facebook page, to the greatest delight of our biggest fans. This year’s programme includes fun quizzes, story contests and door prizes for maximum interaction.

We’ve had to bounce back and adapt in this time of pandemic to ensure the safety of our competitors and our public. We need to turn these new challenges into opportunities and fortunately, technology will allow us to put the talent and creativity of our bartenders to the forefront. You will not want to miss this event,” says Pierre-Olivier Trempe, founder of the event.
In another initiative to support the cocktail community hard hit by the temporary closure of bars, MADE WITH LOVE is supported by Bartender Benevolent fund, which helps bartenders in financial difficulty across Canada. As such, competitors participating in the event will be rewarded in their scores in exchange of a personal fundraiser of a minimum of $100. MADE WITH LOVE is also committed to making an additional donation to the fund in support to the industry.
