Quebec’s 23 best barchefs were competing yesterday night as part as the MadeWithLove^TM Regional Final

Montreal, June 7, 2016 – The bar industry was unbridled on Monday night for the MadeWithLove^TM Regional Final, the largest Canadian cocktail competition, which was held at Château Frontenac in Quebec City.

After being selected at the qualifiers last March, 23 of the best Quebec City barchefs were competing tirelessly for a chance to win a place for the National Finals in 2017. More than 1,500 cocktail aficionados heeded the call to discover the exclusive cocktail creations and elect their favourite competitor.

This year, Jean-René Lebel from Shaker Cuisine & Mixologie won the heart of the public with his Fontaine de Jouvence cocktail and Jonathan Strokowski-Ross from bar Le Sam, Château Frontenac won the judges’ choice with his Sampari cocktail.

Our two winners will represent Quebec City at the MadeWithLove^TM National Finals in 2017. Both finalists will attempt to bring home the title of Canada’s best mixologist along with one of trips to partnering brand distilleries.
