In preparation for the October 2013 MadeWithLove Main Event – Halifax Edition we are holding a “SPEED ROUND” Qualifiers at The Middle Spoon on Tuesday August 20th, at 6pm.
You will have access to basic fruits (lemon, lime & orange), simple syrup and all of our spirit partners for MadeWithLove Halifax 2013, which are:

We will accept a maximum of 25 candidates, of which 14 mixologists will be selected to participate in the October 2013 main event. Your ranking at the qualifier will give you priory to choose the spirit you will work with for the main event in October.

Winner of the Judge’s panel
Mixologists will be judged on the originality, presentation and the taste of their cocktail. The mixologist who will receive the most points will win their place in the Canadian National Finale in Montreal (all expenses 3 days trip in Montreal) in April of 2014 along with 14 other Canadian bartenders from 7 different cities.
Winner of the Public’s Choice
All attending guests will receive a dogtag. After tasting all cocktails, guests will give their dogtag to their favourite mixologist. The mixologist with the most dogtags will be chosen as the Public’s Choice winner and will win their place in the Canadian National Finale in Montreal (all expenses 3 days trip in Montreal) in April of 2014 along with 14 other Canadian bartenders from 7 different cities.
There are 10 trips to be won overall at the National Finale.
